Scavland Factions, Traders and Reputation Overview
How Scavland's 10 factions, traders, Jobs, and reputation fit together from official Early Access notes — no fake thresholds.

Do traders care about reputation?
Who is Dogface?
Confirmed high-level systems
Scavland’s official store and wishlist framing emphasize:
- 10 factions with unique identities and characters
- A faction and trader Reputation System
- Jobs and Contracts plus main and side quests
- Trading as part of the survival loop
This overview page sits beside the deeper quests and reputation guide. Neither page invents reputation point thresholds.
Traders and ranks (patch-confirmed)
Update 0.6.0 rebalanced traders extensively and stated trader ranks need less reputation (exact old/new curves: check the full Steam post; do not invent a ladder here). Traders also became more specialized in what they buy.
Update 0.7.0 added:
- Purchase a stash expansion from a trader for 50,000 Rubles to unlock an additional stash tab (main village upgradable stash focus at that time).
- Traders pay an additional 5% sell value per Trader Rank.
Update 0.8.0 economy-adjacent combat changes (ammo prices, armor) affect what you sell and buy — see ammo types and armor penetration.
Named NPCs and Jobs from notes (examples, not a full roster)
Patch notes have named several progression actors without publishing a complete faction encyclopedia:
- Alexei — sells medical blueprints (Day One).
- Raisa (Diplomat) — Jobs; Hotfix 0.7.2 lets her offer a follow-up job without waiting for the current one to finish, plus rebalancing.
- Dogface — quest On the Road; unlocks Dogface Rides between Journal Map stops (Arcadia, the Mire, Sontse Station, Microrayon, North Pier, Quarry Settlement).
- Anatoly’s Detector — quest Catching Current reward handling fixed in Hotfix 0.8.8 when the backpack is full.
- Leon — Leon 1895 damage buff in Hotfix 0.6.2 (weapon note, not a faction primer).
NPC icons appear as pins on the Journal Map once you get close or talk to them (0.8.0).
AI and faction world pressure
Update 0.8.0’s AI overhaul states factions can launch campaigns to capture each other’s outposts, and enemies react to fire and gunshot sound ranges. That makes reputation and territory more than a menu number — but outpost ownership tables remain TBD on this wiki until logged.
For stealth and world simulation context, see stealth, takedowns, and the Life system.
