Can you own a hideout or use camps in Scavland?

The official description says players can explore the world to buy a hideout. Purchase process, location choices, upgrades, and persistence details still need versioned playtest logs.

Update 0.7.0 added practical camp infrastructure: stashes and crafting tables at all main camps. Those camp stashes do not share the village stash items. Only the main village had upgradable multi-tab stashes at that time. Pair this with stash, inventory, and campfire healing.

How do gathering and crafting fit into survival?

Gathering and crafting are confirmed parts of the open-world loop. Day One medical blueprints and the 0.7.0 repair pass are covered in crafting, repair, and medical blueprints. Full recipe trees beyond named notes remain TBD.

Use the beginner guide for a cautious first-run loop. Location evidence lives in the Zalesye overview and ruins and bunkers.

Is trading confirmed?

Yes. Trading is in the official feature list, and trusted faction status can unlock new stock. Patch-confirmed economy notes include:

  • Trader rank reputation requirements lowered / specialization pass in Update 0.6.0 (see full Steam post for curves).
  • +5% sell value per Trader Rank in Update 0.7.0.
  • Explorer 1.2x sell money bonus (0.6.0).
  • Ammo price changes in Update 0.8.0 — ammo guide.
  • Stash expansion purchase for 50,000 Rubles from a trader (0.7.0).

Follow quests and reputation and factions, traders, and reputation overview for faction structure without invented thresholds.

What still needs playtesting?

Hideout upgrade UI, raid-or-persist rules if any, complete vendor stock matrices, and refresh timers. Cross-check environmental interactions with radiation and the Mist.
